Emily Crawford

Director of Federal Advocacy

Emily Crawford has extensive higher education experience as well as Capitol Hill experience. She specializes in education policy and federal appropriations, having secured millions of dollars in federal funding for critical U.S. Department of Education college access programs. As President of the Committee for Education Funding Board of Directors, Emily advises a coalition of over 100 education advocates navigate education policy, ranging from early education to adult education, in Washington, D.C.

Previously, Emily served as Director of Government Relations for the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP), a national non-profit specializing in educational equity and access for underserved communities. Having started her career as a school counselor at Title I schools in Nevada, Emily deeply understands the importance of access to education for all students.

She holds two advanced degrees – a masters degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters in Public Policy, specializing in higher education policy, from George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia.
